At least four people were killed and three others injured after a bus collided head-on with a microbus on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the Belabo area of Narsingdi district early on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Shahin, 26, his wife Liza, 19, Piyash 22, and Raihan, 24. Shahin, Liza and Piyash hailed from Bhoirab, while Raihan hailed from Chittagong.
A Sylhet-bound bus of Shamoli Paribahan collided head-on with a microbus in the Belabo area around 1:45am, killing four people on the spot and injuring the others.
Bhoirob highway police Officer-in-Charge Nurul Alam confirmed about the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said the accident took place around 1:45am in Belabo.
