The government gives utmost importance to strengthening ties and boosting trade with Muslim countries, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said.
The comment was made when the premier met Qatar ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Aziz M Al-Mana upon a courtesy call at her office, BSS reported on Tuesday.
The premier urged Qatar for importing more manpower and investing more in Bangladesh, all the while underlining a heightened bilateral relation.
Both countries can gain through exchanging experience in the areas of education and health, Hasina said assuring implementation of the deals signed with Qatar.
The Qatar envoy congratulated Hasina on her third-time premiership and invited the prime minister to visit Qatar. Hasina accepted the invitation.
Ambassador at-large M Ziauddin, principal secretary to the PM Abdus Sobhan Sikder, PMO secretary Abul Kalam Azad, premier's special assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil and Deputy Press Secretary Bijan Lal Dev were present among others at the meeting.
