Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to visit the district on February 23.
Mohammad Ruhul Amin, deputy commissioner of the district, told the Dhaka Tribune about her visit.
Besides, the district administration has issued a press release in this regard.
According to the press release, the PM will arrive here around 12 noon on a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
She is scheduled to inaugurate the newly built Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium at the golf course of Cox’s Bazar in the afternoon.
Later, she will address a public rally at Jelepark ground.
The premier will leave the district for the capital on the same day.
