The foreign diplomats of 20 foreign countries have arrived here on Monday morning on a three-day visit.
Among others, the diplomats of Russia, Brazil, North Korea, South Korea, Maldives, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Nepal, Netherland, Myanmar and Bhutan are visiting the town now. State Minister for Foreign Affairs MD Shahriar Alam has been accompanying the 20-members delegation, said district administrative source.
Mohammad Ruhul Amin, deputy commissioner of the district, said: “The foreign diplomats have played football and volleyball in the afternoon after visiting the sea shore. They are likely to attend a cultural programme in the night.”
On Tuesday, they will visit the newly built Buddhist temples and monasteries in Ramu and spend time on Inani beach, said the DC.
They are scheduled to visit the Hatchery Zone in Ukhia on the same day. They are set to return Dhaka on Wednesday.
