The law enforcers comprising the members of police, ansar and other armed forces will be deployed for four days during the time of the upazila election to maintain law and order and facilitate a peaceful election.
The home ministry has a passed a circular regarding the deployment of law enforcement during the upazila parishad election.
The circular was distributed on Sunday afternoon.
The first phase of the election in 97 upazilas is scheduled to be held on February 19.
The circular said the forces will remain deployed two days prior to the election, the day of election and the day after.
