TiE to launch journey in Bangladesh

The Indus Entrepreneurs or TIE,  the widely reputed Silicon Valley based group, is going to start its operation in Bangladesh in order to extend its helping hands towards the enterprises and entrepreneurs in technology sector of the country.

The group made the announcement at a press conference held at a city hotel in the capital on Monday.

Sonia Bashir, TiE Dhaka’s founding president, also DEL Bangladesh’s chief executive, and Shamim Ahsan, TiE Dhaka’s vice president and chief executive of akhoni.com addressed the conference.

Sonia said TiE Dhaka will work to groom the young entrepreneurs of the capital city.

A group of professionals and entrepreneurs of Silicon Valley formed TiE in 1992 with a view to providing consultancy and training to potential entrepreneurs, now operating 60 centres in 17 countries. It has now more than 11,000 members and 2500 chartered members.
