Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, is set to distribute relief materials among the fire-affected slum dwellers in the capital's Moghbazar area, near Hatirjheel on Sunday.
The minister made the announcement while visiting the fire-affected area in the afternoon.
The minister conveyed sympathy to the affected people, and especially to the slum dwellers that live from hand to mouth. Speaking on the occasion, Maya said the fire incident has caused irreparable loss.
The devastating fire broke out this morning at a rickshaw garage at Madhubagh in the city's Moghbazar area, killing a child.
