A roller driver was crushed as the roller fell in a roadside ditch after losing its control over steering at Bashail – Nalua road of Tangail district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Giren, 60, hailed from Karail village of Mirzapur upazila.
“Giren lost control of the LGD roller while repairing road of the area and fell in a roadside ditch and crushed under it at around 7am,” Bashail police station OC Monir Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune.
Later, he was rushed to Tangail Sadar Hospital where the on duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
