A musical evening is arranged by Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre at their Gulshan premises today at 6:30pm. Promising singer Shemonty Monjari will entertain the audience with her melodious rendition of Tagore’s songs.
Shemonty started her musical journey at an early age. She trained in Rabindra sangeet at the prestigious Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyayatan in Dhaka, where she completed her 8 years’ course in Rabindra Sangeet and achieved first class first position in the final certificate examination. She also achieved first class first position in the national competition on Rabindra sangeet arranged by Jatiyo Rabindrasangeet Sammilon Parishad in 2011.
