Customs official recovered 420 gold bars, worth Tk21 crore, from a flight in Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport on Thursday night.
The gold was recovered in an abandoned state from inside a Fly Dubai flight that landed at the airport from Dubai at 8:30pm, customs official said.
Chittagong customs Assistant Commissioner Mashiur Rahman Mondal told the Dhaka Tribune the 420 gold bars were worth Tk25 crore in value.
The gold was found from beneath and inside the cushion of a passenger seat inside the aircraft, the official added.
However, no one could be detained in connection to the haul.
