Youth can play a vital role in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly Bangladesh by preserving wetland.
They were urged it by the environmentalists yesterday at a workshop held in the Department of Environmental Science at Stamford University, Dhanmondi campus.
The workshop titled as “Role of Youth in Climate Change Adaption through Revival and Conservation of Wetlands” under Youth in Action: Green Youth Citizens project in association with European Union (EU) and Stamford University Bangladesh, was organized by Environment and Social Development Organization (ESDO).
The speakers at the event said more than 60% of wetlands of Dhaka were lost in the last 30 years.
Around 40 students of Stamford University and Daffodil University took part in the workshop.
