A Dhaka court has placed notorious criminal Saidur Rahman Shahid alias Shahid Commissioner on a five-day remand in an arms case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Salam passed the order, rejecting his bail plea on Wednesday afternoon after the investigation officer of the case produced him before it with a 10-day remand plea.
Earlier on Tuesday, Rapid Action Battalion arrested Shahid Commissioner, who has been awarded the death penalty for murder, from his Gandaria residence around 3am.
The elite force members also seized three foreign-made pistols, three magazines and 62 rounds of ammunition from his possession.
