Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend her office at the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry on Thursday.
Sheikh Hasina, also the minister in-charge of the ministry, will hold a meeting with the ministry officials at 10:30am on the day, a senior official of the ministry said.
It would be the first meeting of Sheikh Hasina during the tenure of the present government, which took charges on January 12.
After formation of the new cabinet, the premier kept the ministry in her hand while Nasrul Hamid Bipu, a ruling Awami League MP has been given the post of the state minister.
The ministry officials said it was expected that the premier would give some directions to the officials for increasing power and gas production. She may share the planning of the government with them on power and energy sector.
