A total of 65 aspirants have filed nomination papers for the February 27 polls to four upazila parisahds in Natore.
Of the total, some 27 candidates will contest for the chairmen posts while 13 candidates will contest for the posts of the female vice chairmen and 25 candidates for the posts of the vice-chairmen, election office sources said.
From Natore Sadar upazila, as many as eight candidates submitted their nomination papers for the post of chairman. Four candidates submitted their nomination papers for the post of female vice chairman while six for vice-chairman in the upazila.
From Lalpur upazila, some five candidates submitted their nomination papers for the post of the upazila chairman. Three candidates submitted their nomination papers for the post of female vice chairman while seven for vice-chairman in the upazila.
In Gurudaspur upazila, some eight candidates submitted their nomination papers for the post of the upazila chairman, three for the post of female vice chairman while seven for vice-chairman.
Besides in Bagatipara upazila, some six candidates submitted their nomination papers for the post of the upazila chairman, three for the post of female vice chairman while five for vice-chairman.
