Police has arrested a female ward councillor from the city’s Jotopur area on Saturday in a civil case.
Diba Rani, the councillor of ward No 13, 14 and 15, was arrested in the afternoon.
Ataur Rahman Babul, officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station said: “A case was lodged against Diba Rani in connection with land related matters on January 27. She was sent to the jail through the court.”
