At least one person has been killed and two others have sustained injuries as a truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw down in Delduar upazila in the district on Thursday.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Chan Miah, officer-in-charge of Delduar police station, said: “A truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw down on Tangail-Nagorpur road at 8:00pm, leaving one passenger of the CNG dead on the spot and two others injured.”
The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital, said police.
