Two activists of the Islami Chhatra Shibir were detained for arson on a house of the Hindu community in Lakshmipur on Thursday.
The house of Dhiren Master was torched in Udamara, Raipur upazila of the district on Tuesday night, police said.
On Thursday afternoon, Shafiq and Nasir Uddin, two Shibir activists, were detained as suspects, Raipur police Officer-in-Charge Rupak Kumar Saha said.
Family of Dhiren Master claimed the arson gutted TK 50,000 worth asset.
