Two bodies were recovered by police in Ghatail upazila and Mirzapur upazila under Tangail district on Thursday.
One of the deceased was identified as Joaher Ali, 50, worker of Roads and Highway department (RHD) in
Athara Dana village under Ghatail upazila. Another could not be identified immediately.
Police recovered the bodies and sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Family sources said Joaher went to Hamidpur Bazzar on Monday afternoon and from there he went missing. Local people found his body beside Kaji office at Kadamtoli Bazzar of the upazila in the morning and informed police.
Fazlul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Ghatail police station, confirmed the matter.
In another incident, an unidentified body was recovered by police in Mirzapur upazila on Thursday afternoon.
Fakhrul Islam, sub-inspector of Deaouhata police post, said local people saw a body floating on Pathhara Jame Mosque pond of the upazila at 3:30pm and informed police.
Hands and legs of the body were tied with rope.
Police suspects he was dumped in the pond seven days ago after the killing.
