The Election Commission has decided to hold by-elections for different posts in 73 union parishads by March 31.
The commission, in this regard, has asked the district election officials concerned to make preparation for holding the polls, a senior EC official said.
He also said the EC also asked its wings to send necessary electoral equipment for the purpose.
The commission had already prepared the list of chairman, member and reserved posts of woman members, EC officials said.
They said the EC asked the field level officials concerned to make necessary preparations for holding the polls in the upazila parishads.
The EC has announced the polls schedule for 215 upazilas in two phases in February.
The commission has also planned to hold polls in the remaining upazilas in phases.
