Miscreants damaged a temple in Korkola Kali Mondir of Chatmohar upazila in Pabna early wednesday.
Police and the locals said the miscreants vandalised three idols in the temple of Goddess Kali.
Ashok Chakrabarti, secratery of Chatmohar Upazila Puja Udjapon Parishad, said the local Hindus use to hold Kali Puja and Durga Puja in the temple. Unidentified people damaged the temple to ruin the communal harmony of the village, he said.
Officer-in-Charge of Chatmohar police station Md Asaduzzaman said a case was filed with the Chatmohar police station in the Wednesday afternoon. Police were investigating into the matter, he said.
