Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudury has nominated a 5-member panel of chairman to preside over the sessions in absence of the speaker and the deputy speaker in the House, reports BSS.
The speaker made the nomination at the maiden sitting of first session of the 10th parliament on Wednesday evening.
The members are: Abul Kalam Azad, Ashiqur Rahman, Sahara Khatun, Nurul Islam Suzon and AKM Maidul Islam. The Speaker nominated them as per the rules of business section 12 (1) of the Jatiya Sangsad.
"The above mentioned lawmakers will chair the session as per the numerical order," the speaker told the House this evening.
Earlier in the day, Dr Shirin Sharmin was reelected as the speaker of the house.
