A mugger died of bullet injury at a Dhaka hospital early on Wednesday four days after he was shot during a “gunfight” with police in the capital.
The dead was Zaved Ali, son of Anwar Hossain from Dhaka's Badda. He was arrested after shot on Friday during a gunfight with law enforcers in Mirpur.
The mugger died undergoing treatments at National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation early on Wednesday, Pallabi police station Officer-in-Charge Syed Ziauzzaman said.
Zabed was shot when police opened fire on a group of muggers during an attempt of snatching, the OC said. “Others fled, Zaved was arrested shot.”
The body was sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College.
