How I Met Your Mother season 9 is the show’s last season and it seems that some fans are not happy with it. Not because How I Met Your Mother is ending but to them the quality of the episodes are dropping.
Recently, season 9 episode 14: Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmara was under fire from the Asian community for having racist portrayals of Asians. The show’s creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas apologised on twitter for the episode.
Aside from that snafu, fans are not happy with how things are going with How I Met Your Mother season 9.
Dan Hajducky of Den of Geek! Made an article about this and asked “How I Met Your Mother is one of the best sitcoms of this generation. So why is the ending of the love story so disappointing?”
He said that season 9 has been “downright unenjoyable” noting that every episode so far has been “forced.”
He then goes on ask that “Is it the fact that the mystery of the mother being resolved has taken away the intrigue of the show? Or is it the fact that the writers of the show seem to be stretching out the story arc with plotlines that are missing entirely?”
He points out that the midseason break episode had the lowest amount of viewers for a midseason break with 7.7 million viewers compared to last season’s 8.7 million viewers.
