Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route had been suspended for six hours till Tuesday morning.
Sources said the ferry service were restored at 8am.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Manager at Aricha Ghat Mohiuddin Rasel said the ferry service were suspended due to dense fog around 2am.
He said the plying of the water vessels were also halted due to the poor visibility conditions.
Some 11 ferries remained stranded at the Paturia and Daulatdia terminals, reports UNB.
Meanwhile, more than 100 goods-laden vehicles and passenger buses were stuck at both of the ghats.
