Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday spent an afternoon with poets, writers, academics and intellectuals at a get-together at Ganabhaban.
The event was organised at the South Lawn around 4pm when traditional pitha (cakes) and kebab, parata, nan ruti, tea and coffee were served for the guests, reports BSS.
Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, and several senior ministers enjoyed patriotic and folk songs and recitations.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, VCs and teachers of public universities, writers Syed Shamsul Haque and Anwara Syed Haque, editors and heads of newspapers and electronic media, journalist leaders, poet Lutfor Rahman Riton, and actors Aly Zaker, Sara Zaker and Pijush Bandopadhhay, poet Ashim Saha, cultural personalities Golam Quddus and Abdun Nur Tushar also attended the event among others.
