Bangladesh’s newly recruited Ukrainian boxing coach Gourenko Alexander said he was not satisfied with three boxers, need more time but remained confident that Bangladesh would be successful in the upcoming Asian Games.
A week after his arrival in Dhaka, Gourenko selected three players - Al Amin, Arif Hossain and Sur Krishna Chakmaand - for the camp and started working with them, but the Ukrainian feels he needs more boxers in the preparation camp for the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games this year. The camp is being held at the residential camp of the Dhaka Cantonment.
“I need more boxers so that I can select the best ones to work with, though the currents ones are hardworking and they are eager to learn. They will learn the techniques and tactics fast. If they give their best at the camp, I am confident that we will bring a gold medal back from the Asian Games,” said Alexander.
