At least three people were killed and seven injured in a collision between a bus and a human hauler in Makamtoli area on Bogra-Dinajpur road on Friday evening.
The deceased were identified as Sajeda, 50, Maleka Begum, 45, and Sajeda Khatun, 45. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
Mokamtoli outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector (SI) Sanowar Hossian said a Rangpur-bound bus knocked down the human hauler in Makamtoli area around 5:30pm, killing three on the spot and injuring the others.
He said the deceased were returning home after attending a family programme in Meghfordo village.
Meanwhile, the locals blockaded the Bogra-Dinajpur road protesting the accident.
