Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom congratulated Sheikh Hasina Friday on her assumption of office of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, reports BSS.
Mentioning that the two countries enjoy friendly relations, Gayoom said that he looks forward to cooperating with newly elected government of Bangladesh on matters of common interests for both nations' mutual benefit, a foreign ministry press release said tonight.
In separate messages, IUT Secretary General Dr Hamodoun I. Toure and Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Francis Gurry greeted the newly elected government of Bangladesh, headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
