Senior Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Molla Waheeduzzaman was granted the position of Chairman of Privatisation Commission.
Senior Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry Abdus Sobhan Sikder told the Dhaka Tribune that Molla was appointed as the chairman of the commission with the status of state minister on Wednesday.
He will replace the commission’s present chairman Mirza Abdul Jalil, a former bureaucrat, Bangladesh Awami League’s advisory council’s member and leader of Awami Krishak League.
Molla Waheed, who was on a three-year contractual appointment until January 17, is also a civil bureaucrat.
