A fire broke out at an herbal medicine store in the capital’s Becharam Dewri area on Wednesday night.
Fire service duty officer Bhajan Sarkar said: “The fire broke out around 9pm. six units of fire fighters have tried to doused the blaze and now it is under control.”
Inspector (investigation) Abul Hasan of Bangshal police station told the Dhaka Tribune that the originated from a short circuit.
The extent of damage could not be known immediately.
No report of casualty has been filed till filing the report around 10:45pm.
