Mohammad Nasim, Awami League Presidium Member and Health Minister, has praised BNP for withdrawing their agitation programs.
“We believe that they are assisting the government by not declaring hartals and blockades. If they continue with such assistance the government will help them in turn.”
Nasim was the home minister for the Awami Legaue government in 1996. However, he could not secure a position during the latest AL-led government.
“If the BNP severs ties with Jamaat-e-Islami and avoids violence, a peaceful atmosphere will be created for holding a dialogue,” he said.
Regarding his ministry, the minister said “there was no point denying that there has been some irregularities in the health sector.”
Those problems will be addressed and efforts will be made towards alleviation after discussions, he said.
“The government intends to reach medical facilities to the remotest of corners,” he said.
