Four leaders of the Jatiya Party have said they received calls from the Cabinet Division for being accommodated in the new cabinet.
President Abdul Hamid is set to swear in the new cabinet at 3:30pm today at the Bangabhaban. Jatiya Party (JaPa) MP Moshiur Rahman Ranga told the Dhaka Tribune that he had received a call from the Cabinet Division.
When contacted, three other Presidium Members of the party Anisul Islam Mahmud, Ziauddin Bablu and Mujibul Haque Chunnu told the Dhaka Tribune that they have also got calls from the Cabinet Division.
The Jatiya Party has become the main opposition in the 10th parliament bagging 13 seats in the January 5 elections.
On Saturday, the Parliament Secretariat published a gazette notification confirming Rawshan Ershad as the Leader of the Opposition in the 10th parliament.
