Ganajagaran Mancha has declared to provide financial aids to the victims of Malopara under Abhaynagar upazila.
“Each of the worst affected families will be provided Tk20,000 while less affected families Tk10,000,” Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarkar announced.
He was addressing a rally at Chitrar crossing in Abhaynagar upazila on Saturday afternoon.
The pro-liberation platform has also demanded ban on Jamaat-e-Islami politics in the country.
“Jamaat gets only 2% to 3% votes across the country. It proves how much people support Jamaat,” he said.
He added: “Ban Jamaat’s politics. If it creates any violence after the ban, 97% people of the country would resist them.”
“You are Bangladesh, the attackers are minorities,” he told the affected people in the rally.
He said people across the country are with the affected people.
Imran also said those who carried out the barbaric attacks at Malopara were enemies of Islam.
Ganajagaran Mancha activists visited Malopara of Abhaynagar upazila in the afternoon.
A delegation of about 100 people led by Imran H Sarkar distributed relief materials among the victims at the fisheries community of the area who fell victims of terrorist attacks on the evening January 5 election day.
The long march of Ganajagaran Mancha reached Jessore at around 11pm on Friday and stayed at the dormitory of Banchte Shekha, an NGO in Jessore town.
The motorcades of the marchers start for Malopara in the morning on Saturday and reached the spot at around noon.
