The driver of a human hauler who suffered serious burn injuries in an arson attack on his vehicle at Polytechnic College area in the city died on Sunday at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Friday.
Md Mitul, son of Md Hannan of Bhola district and a resident of Sher Shah Banglabazar area of the port city, breathed his last at the hospital around 4am, CMCH police outpost in- charge said.
Anti-election activists hurled a petrol bomb on the human hauler of Mitul around 8pm on January 6, a day after the 10th national election, leaving him critically injured.
He was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital with 80 percent burn injuries.
