Child injured in crude bomb blast

A child was injured in crude bomb blast at the capital’s Middle Badda on Monday morning.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Fahim, 8.

Nasima Akter, mother of Fahim, said: “Fahim was playing in front of their residence in Adarshanagar area at 8:30am. During the time, he noticed a red ball-like object lying on the ground. The crude bomb exploded as soon as he touched it, leaving his right hand and belly injured.”

Later, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, she added.
