A truck driver sustained 40% burns when pickets hurled four petrol bombs on a cattle laden truck in Kaliakoir area in Gazipur on Saturday evening.
Injured Nuruzzaman, 25, has been admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition around 9:30pm.
Sources said pickets hurled four petrol bombs on Mozzamel’s truck while he was going to Narsingdi with his brother Mozzamel around 6:30pm.
However, his brother received minor injuries.
DMCH outpost Inspector Mozzamel said: “Nuruzzaman is in a critical condition as his breathing tube has been burned in the incident.”
