Police recovered 40 crude bombs and three sharp weapons from Notun Bridge area in Chittagong on Saturday night.
Sources said the crude bombs and sharp weapons were recovered in an abandoned state from Notun Bridge area around 8:10pm.
Bakulia police station Officer-in-charge Mohammad Mohshin said: “Acting on a tip off, we conducted a drive in the area and recovered the crude bombs and sharp weapons.”
He said: “The hartal and blockade supporters might have kept them [crude bomb and weapon] here to conduct subversive acts but fled sensing our presence.”
