A delegation of BNP Parliamentary Party (BNPPP) led by Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque went to meet President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Friday afternoon.
The BNP delegation arrived at Bangabhaban at 3:25pm, reports this correspondent.
The delegation includes BNP lawmakers ABM AShraf Uddin Nizan, Nazim Uddin Ahmed, Harunur Rashid, Rehana Aktar Ranu, Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papiya and Rasheda Begum Hira.
The same delegation met Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday morning where they sought her interference to see the matter of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s virtual confinement at her Gulshan residence as she could not step outside because of the additional law enforcers being deployed in front of her residence.
