Rapid Action Battalion personnel recovered 20 petrol bombs at Agargaon slum in the capital in the early hours of Friday, the 3rd day of the nonstop blockade programme called by the BNP-Jamaat-led 18-party opposition alliance.
“Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB 2 personnel recovered 20 petrol bombs at an abandoned state at Agargaon slum, near the Islamic Foundation, at around 3am,” said Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Raihan Uddin Khan, also the operation officer of RAB 2.
The RAB 2 operation officer said none was arrested in connection with the recovery.
The petrol bombs were made using various types and sizes of bottles.
The 20 petrol bombs were recovered a day after the RAB personnel recovered 43 hand bombs at the capital’s Mohammadpur on Thursday.
