Miscreants set four educational institutions in Daganbhuiyan, which are supposed to be used as polling centres, on fire, early Friday.
The institutions are -- Sultana Memorial High School, Gajaria Adarsha Academy, Nayanpur High School, Gajaria Hasani Madrasa.
Md Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge of , told the Dhaka Tribune that miscreants torched four polling centres at around 1:30am.
On information, firefighters rushed in and doused the fire.
“The institutions were completely burnt down while two of them were only partially damaged,” said the OC.
Daganbhuiyan police station officer-in-charge (investigation) said the the fire caused an estimated loss of Tk10 lakh.
