Three individuals sustained burns when blockaders hurled a petrol bomb on a bus near the capital's Ruposhi Bangla Hotel on Friday morning.
The injured Md Farid, 50, driver Babul, 32, and Shahina Aktar have been admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Mashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ramna police station, said unidentified assailants hurled petrol bombs at a Gulistan-bound passenger bus of route 3 in front of Borak Tower near Paribagh's foot-over-bridge at around 7:30am.
“Soon after the petrol bombs were hurled, the entire bus was engulfed by fire in moments. Although all other passengers were able to make it out of the bus, the driver and two passengers Shahina and Farid got trapped and sustained severe burns”, said the OC.
He said the assailants were able to flee from the scene before the police could arrive.
Earlier on December 24, another petrol bomb attack on a police transport bus left a traffic constable dead with another constable and the bus driver critically injured at the Banglamotor intersection.
Additionally, at least four passengers died and 15 others sustained injures when miscreants launched similar attacks with petrol bomb on a bus on November 26 near Matsya Bhaban.
