The Home Ministry has formed a 10-member law and order coordination cell to monitor the law and order situation across the country during the 10th parliamentary elections.
The ministry has issued an order in this regard, signed by Deputy Secretary Suraiya Parveen Shelly on Thursday.
According to the order, Additional (political) Secretary Kamaluddin Ahmed will supervise the cell while Joint secretary Mohammad Mojakker Ali will coordinate it.
The 10th parliamentary elections are slated for January 5.
The armed forces were deployed for 15 days on December 26 to aid the civil administration in maintaining law and order situation during the elections.
