President Abdul haimd has extended greetings to the nation on the eve of the New Year 2014.
In his message, the president said: “The New Year 2014 may bring prosperity and progress both in our personal and national life. On the joyous occasion of New Year, I convey my warmest greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens in India and abroad.”
Furthermore, he said: “Let us resolve to make it a year in which the people of the country in all their rich diversity unite to work towards the collective goal of inclusive development and growth. May the New Year ring in peace, equity and goodwill.”
In contrast, the main opposition BNP has gifted the nation a fresh blockade programme, commencing on January 1 and extending until the end of the January 5 national elections.
