Business leaders condemned the recent death of a businessman in violence and attack on business establishments in view of the current situation of the country.
Calls were also made out to the business community for building up a resistance against “saboteurs and miscreants” behind these attacks.
The call was made in a press release issued by apex trade body Federal of Banlgadesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Tuesday evening.
On Monday, businessman Enamul Haque, died in Shibganj Bazar, Chapainawabganj during violence. Several business establishments were attacked and torched.
FBCCI condemned the attack and “killing” and demanded for immediate actions against the perpretators.
“Those people who destroy the economy, kill innocent people and engage in ill-activities are the enemies of the nation, we think.”
The body also called out to the government to provide security to the commerce sector.
