The members of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA)on Tuesday announced a hunger strike for January 2 protesting the recent attack on Supreme Court premises.
The lawyers announced the programme after holding an emergency meeting at the court premises in the afternoon.
According to the announcement, the lawyers would go on hunder strike from 10am on January 2.
SCBA President AJ Mohammad Ali said: “We have decided to observe the hunger strike so that no one dares to attack the Supreme Court in future”.
SCBA Vice President A B M Waliur Rahman and Assistant Secretary A B M Rafuqul Haque TalukdarRaza, among other, were present in the meeting.
