Fire broke out at a steel mill in Ruby Gate area under Baizid police station in the port city on Tuesday afternoon.
No casualties incurred in the incident.
Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence’s Chittagong Headquarter Deputy Assistant Director Md Jashim Uddin said: “A boiler of Baizid mill caught fire due to a short circuit around 12:45pm.”
Later, two units from Agrabad and Baizid fire stations rushed in and brought the blaze under control around 1:30pm
