Members of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate arrested a man with gold bars, mobile phone sets and various electronic materials worth Tk10m at Hajarat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday noon.
The arrestee was identified as Kawsar Hamid. Moinul Khan, Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, said acting on a tip-off, we arrested Kawsar immediately after he arrived in Dhaka by a flight of Emirates Airlines from Dubai.
He said: “We seized 6 bars of gold, 5 iPhone sets, 15 cameras and 40 DVD sets by arresting him around 12pm.”
