A fire broke out in a sweater-factory at Jamgora in Ashulia on Thursday morning.
Confirming the incident, Badrul Alam, officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station, said the blaze started in the storeroom on the sixth floor of the Japan-Bangla Garments building around 7:45am and soon engulfed the other rooms of the floor.
Upon receiving information, fire fighters from Ashulia, Kaliakoir and Savar rushed to the spot and doused the flame around 8:45am, he added.
The OC said none sustained injuries in the fire incident.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be known immediately.
