Police arrested a suspected activist of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of the Jamaat-e-Islam, with 20 crude bombs from the capital’s Mirpur on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrestee is one Saiful Islam.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Media Centre), said: “Acting on a tip off, Mirpur police arrested the Shibir activist from a residence at East Monipur around 2:30pm.”
