Prantik Theatre launched with its satirical comedy, Ohetuk Kichchha at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy yesterday.

However, it does not contain any dialogue from the original play. So far the third production of the troupe, the play was staged for the eleventh time.

The play projects social irregularities in a humorous manner with manifold stories from people’s daily lives. The plot revolves around an influential person of the society and narrates how he misuses his power for own personal interest. A pet crow of the protagonist steals the show with punches.

The story rolls on with the crow going missing one day. The protagonist finds the crow on a lamp-post near a police box. He uses all his power and even manages to drive out a pregnant lady from her place  to provide the crow a more hygienic nest.

The play was successful in projecting the powerplay of our society and the misdeeds that cripple the lives of the underpriviledged.

It demonstrates how the big guns of our society with forces manipulate the mass for their own personal interest.

It also highlights that this particular group of society believes that money can buy anything and everything.
